USMC, enlisted in Junne of 1968, reported to Marine Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego on 28 August 1968.  Graduated MCRD on 31 October 1968, reported to Camp Pendleton California for Infantry Training and graduated 15 December 1968. Reported to Naval Air Station Millington Tennessee for training as an Aviation Supply Specialist. Reported MCRD Cherry Point North Carolina and assigned to VMFA513 April 1969, promoted to Corporal (E-4) while there. Reported to Camp Pendleton for Combat training November 1969, deployed to Chu Lai Vietnam January 1970 and assigned to HMS 13 MAG 13, promoted to Sargent (E-5) while there & received the Navy Achievement Medal W/V divine.  Returned with unit to El Toro November 1970, transferred to MCAS Cherry Point assigned MAG 14 January 1971. Transferred the HQDRS Marine Corp Henderson Hall and assigned as the Marine Corps representative to the Armed Forces Professional Entertainment Office (Bob Hope shows). Discharged from here upon completion of my four years of active duty.
